Zonta Burbank members assemble and deliver vital hygiene kits.

The Zonta Club of Burbank Area presented more than 150 hygiene kits to the Downtown Women's Center for distribution to women in need. Working at home, members of the club assembled items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and other toiletry items into clear plastic bags which were then delivered to the skid row shelter. "The club really wanted to do something hands-on while we're not meeting in person because of Covid," said club president, Becky Gimple. "We all embraced this project because we know how important hygiene is to our dignity and how access to these supplies can be difficult for those in challenging circumstances."
