About the event

Over 16 days, the Zonta Club of Burbank Area raises awareness about violence against women through Zonta International's Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women campaign. Burbank city landmarks, including City Hall and the Burbank Water and Power building, are typically bathed in orange light, a color signifying hope and support in the fight against violence toward women. The City of Burbank usually presents a proclamation to Zonta Club of Burbank Area in support of the cause. Members proudly attended the city council meeting, holding up the 'Zonta Says No' banner. A cornerstone of the campaign is often the "What Was She Wearing" exhibit at the Burbank Central Library. This poignant exhibit challenged stereotypes and drew attention to the harsh realities faced by many women and girls. See our photo gallery from 2023.
