Zonta Burbank awards special grants to community partners serving women.

June 10, 2020

The Zonta Club of Burbank Area presented YWCA Glendale CEO, Tara Peterson, with a check for $5,000 to help support domestic abuse survivors as they rebuild their lives during the current public health crisis. Area 3 director, Gloria Salas, and club president, Becky Gimple, delivered the check in-person, while adhering to social distancing guidelines. In this era of COVID-19, in which some women have been forced to be at home with abusive partners, president Becky said, "I am proud and grateful that the Zonta Club of Burbank Area is able to support an incredible organization that reflects our deepest values as Zontians." An additional gift of $5,000 was presented to the Family Service Agency in Burbank, which has also provided critical services and support for women throughout the pandemic.

The Zonta Club of Burbank Area is proud to be able to support these incredible organizations. They reflect our deepest values as Zontians.
