The Zonta Club of Burbank Area proudly shares this photo gallery capturing highlights from our 2024 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign which ran from November 25 to December 10, 2024. This powerful initiative, aimed at ending violence against women, was marked by widespread community support and highlights our ongoing commitment to the cause.
Burbank city landmarks, including City Hall and the Burbank Water and Power building, were bathed in orange light, a color signifying hope and support in the fight against violence toward women. Nickelodeon Studios, known for its vibrant color displays, joined in solidarity by illuminating its building in orange.
Burbank Mayor Nikki Perez presented a proclamation to Zonta Club of Burbank Area in support of the cause.
The March to City Hall was the final event and took place on Saturday, December 7. Zontians, alongside friends, allies, and supporters, took to the streets in a powerful demonstration of solidarity. Starting from the steps of the Burbank Police Department and culminating at City Hall, this march was a physical manifestation of our commitment to the cause.
The Zonta Club of Burbank Area remains committed to advocating for and empowering women and girls. Our 16 Days of Activism campaign may have concluded, but our resolve to end violence against women continues stronger than ever.
